Call (02) 4306 7828, or send the form and someone rings back. Quotes are free and done on site.

Phone

(02) 4306 7828 is the number for quotes, bookings and after-hours emergency call-outs. It is the number published on the home page and it is the one that reaches the right people.

If you get voicemail during a storm period, leave the address and a short description. Calls are worked through in order of risk, not order of arrival — a tree on a roof jumps a hedge trim.

Form

Use the quote form on this page if it is easier than calling, or if you are sending photos. A callback follows. Nothing on the form obligates you to book anything.

What happens next

Someone comes out and looks at the tree. That visit covers the things that cannot be assessed remotely: the condition of the stem and unions, what is underneath, whether a truck and chipper can get close, how far material has to be carried, and whether the tree is protected under Central Coast Council's vegetation controls.

You get a written quote with the scope spelled out — which trees, whether the stump is included, whether waste goes, and who lodges the permit if one is needed. The quote guide explains what to look for and what to compare.

Emergencies

Storm call-outs run around the clock. After a widespread east coast low they are triaged: trees on structures first, blocked access second, everything else after that. The first visit is often about making the tree safe rather than finishing the clean-up, and the full removal is scheduled behind it.

Power lines are not a tree job. If a limb is on or near a service line or an Ausgrid conductor, ring Ausgrid, keep everyone back, and do not let anyone with a chainsaw near it. The power line safety guide explains why the approach distances are not negotiable, and what to do if a tree falls on your house covers the first hour.

Hours and response

Quotes and bookings are handled during normal business hours. Emergency call-outs run outside them, all year, and they are the reason a message left at nine at night still gets picked up.

Between October and March, expect the queue to lengthen after every significant weather event. That is not a scheduling failure — it is every crew on the Coast being on make-safe work at the same time. The way around it is to have the planned work done in autumn or winter.

Before you call

It is worth knowing what you are asking for. Tree removal, stump grinding and stump removal are three different jobs at three different prices. The service area index has notes for your suburb, and the guides library covers council approval, insurance and cost.

This is a referral website — the contractor who quotes is the contractor you contract with. The about page explains how that works and what to check first.

FAQs

Frequently asked questions

What information should I have ready when I call?

The address, roughly how many trees and how big they are, what is underneath them, and whether a truck can get near. A photo from a few metres back that shows the whole tree and what is around it is worth more than a long description. If the tree is already damaged or leaning, say so first — that changes how quickly someone comes out.

Can a price be given over the phone?

Only as a range, and an honest one will be wide. Size, access, hazards, species and whether a permit is needed all move the number, and none of them can be assessed properly from a description. Site visits and written quotes are free, so there is no reason to settle for a phone figure you cannot hold anyone to.

What counts as an emergency?

A tree or limb on a house, a car, a shed or across a driveway. A tree that has partly failed and is hung up in another tree. A visibly leaning tree with lifted ground at the base after heavy rain. Anything touching a power line is not a tree emergency — it is an Ausgrid emergency, and you ring them and stay well clear.

How long does a quote take to arrive?

Usually a day or two for the visit and the written quote to follow, longer in the week after a big storm when every crew on the Coast is on call-outs. If you are working to a deadline — a builder starting, a settlement date, an insurance claim — say so when you first make contact so it can be scheduled rather than queued.
